It’s that time of year again! That’s right it’s time to start thinking about your plans for the summer. Online applications for all summer jobs can now be submitted. On your application please note whether you are applying for a Head coach or Assistant coach position. Please visit the Aquatics web site to find the application and details for applying:

In addition to submitting an application, you will also need to call the Aquatics office (301)312-6332 to schedule an interview. ALL applicants must interview in person. If you go to school out of state and know that you will be leaving soon, make sure to sign up early. Interviews will begin on Dec 29th and will be held from 10-12 and 1-5. More interview dates will be available in January-TBA. If we don't hear from you when we are starting to fill positions we will go with the applicants we have. There is not a guarantee of rehire.

If you are not planning to work for CNSL this summer please email Kelly at dolphincoach@gmail.com and we will remove you from this distribution list.

2009 CNSL ALL CITY CHAMPIONSHIP MEET - STATUS UPDATE

Due to the current inclement weather and forecasted storms:

Session 1 for the 8 & Under Swimmers has been rescheduled for Saturday late afternoon per the Meet Notice.

Session 2 & Session 1 Relays will be held at the discretion of the Meet Staff based on the flow of the meet.

Weather is chilly and rainy but not dangerous. The pools are closing but we can still have practice in a closed pool setting. Please make sure your coaches carry the guard buoy and check the water readings prior to starting practice.

Clippers Tryout Info

Interested in the Columbia Clippers, our year-round swim team – a Columbia Association program

NEW THIS YEAR, interested swimmers need to complete a Swimmer Sign Up Form (located on the Clippers website – www.clippersswim.org) in advance for an evening tryout session and time slot.

Tryouts will be run similar to a Clippers practice session, split into age groups as outlined below.

6:30 - 7:00pm - 6 to 8 yrs & 9-10 yrs
7:00 - 7:30pm - 9-10 yrs & 11-12 yrs
7:30 - 8:00pm - 11-12 yrs & 13 and older

After all tryout sessions have been completed, the coaching staff will assess the swimmer evaluations and place swimmers in applicable practice groups. If there are openings in the group, the swimmer will be offered a spot on the team. If there are NO open spots in the group, the swimmer will be placed on a waitlist.

Swim Team Fees are based on assigned practice group. Meet Fees are not included in the Swim Team Fees. There is a $50 Non Refundable Team Registration Fee per swimmer and $65 USA Swimming Registration fee per swimmer. Swimmers must be a CA Member or CA Resident to join the swim team.

Inclement Weather Clarification and other info

Hello all!

I know everyone is gearing up for Time Trials this weekend. It is looking like it will be a nice weekend free of these daily storms. There have been a few concerns and questions regarding pool closings and practices. I wanted to clarify. Additionally I have only heard from a couple teams regarding the status of their backstroke flags and lane lines. If I could please get one email from each team stating that you have checked your lane lines and backstroke flags and that they are ok. This will alleviate some Saturday morning stress from us that we have confirmation they have been checked.
